Amateur follows the tribe of non-professional racing drivers. From January through October, hundreds of average Joes battle it out on some of the best racetracks in North America. From “petrol head moms”, to teenagers dreaming of becoming the next Mario Andretti, to the 70-year old retiree: what binds amateur racers is their deep love of the sport. They battle on the track and they party after the race: this is a tribe. These racing series are spectacular and competitive, and their protagonists are approachable and human. 

This immersive and cinematic series will allow viewers to experience the thrill of car racing through the eyes of the guy and the girl next door. Anyone can be a racing driver. But only one will win.
